Publisher Description
Android application which can take picture of the intruder/ thief on a pre-set number of device unlock failures and upload the pic taken to dropbox (Not just saving to DCIM folder and leave the upload part to dropbox app). Pictures taken can also be found on the device at /MugShot/ (i.e., MugShot folder in your device memory)Contact : mugshot@praveenkumar.co.in*ISSUE*There is an issue, on some devices, with opening camera in background on lock screen due to security reasons. A fix for this will be available soon. Thanks for your patience.*NOTE* : This app is found to be not working on all devices. May are not found to be working. Check the list of tested to be not working devices. Its possible that it might work for you even if your device is in the not working list. Tested working only on Galaxy S2 (International model)Features:* Ability to set the number of failures before pic capture* No background services => Saves battery (Triggered by Android on password failed)* Saves pictures to your device (/MugShot)* Dropbox integration - Pictures are uploaded to dropbox.* Obtains location using very good algorithm (even on internet connection)* SMS alert with location details like latitude, longitude and address* Up to 3 SMS contactsIn future releases:* Alarm triggeringDropbox upload:Pictures are uploaded to dropbox by the app using dropbox apis unlike the other apps which save then into your pictures folder and wait for dropbox application to upload on its own. So, you don't need to enable camera sync enabled in your dropbox app if you are not a big fan of it :)This can presently serve the purpose of finding out who tried to unlock your device. And with the dropbox integration, I believe that this can do a partial job of identifying the thief (No location tracking). Not working on:HTC One XSamsung galaxy S+**Uninstall**Settings --> Security --> Device administrators --> Remove MugShot and now u can uninstall it normally. Thanks for trying.Developer's contact info:http://praveenkumar.co.in/#!/ContactMeI appreciate if you can take out some time to give feedback. Thanks again. You may call this; anti-theft, hidden camera, spy camera, picture on failed password, photo capture on failed unlock attempt.
